The Foundation for Pennsylvania Watersheds distributes “Convening Grants” of up to $2,000 to help jumpstart collaboration between citizen groups, government agencies and other organizations interested in protecting or restoring the state’s waters. Funds may be used to secure meeting space, cover travel, pay for professional facilitation and related expenses.
Citizens groups can apply for convening grants by sending a one or two page proposal to the Foundation. Grants are awarded on an on-going basis. Applicants do not have to wait for the normal spring and fall funding cycles.
Applying for a convening grant is not time consuming. Simply provide a Common Grants form found on our grant’s page, write a one page letter outlining your project, your needs, and the amount you are requesting to us. Please include a copy of your IRS 501 (c) 3 determination letter, and fill out our common grants form. To view previously funded Convening Grants click here.
